Weholite
WEHOLITE structured wall pipes were developed in the 1980's, and have
continuously captured markets worldwide.
Speed and economy of installation together with product quality and
durability, has been recognised in both the public and private sector
who have chosen WEHOLITE HDPE as the preferred solution. In the UK
ASSET WEHOLITE is a quality assured product BS EN ISO 9000 : 2000,
Certificate No. FM 12306.
ASSET WEHOLITE provides all the technical advantages of polyethylene
solid wall pipes, but substantial savings in weight and ease of installation often minimises overall installed costs compared with traditional materials.
Weholite pipes have been successfully used across a wide variety of
applications including:
- Storm water attenuation * CSOs
- Sewage treatment works * Landfill
- Sewers and drainage * Sea/river outfalls
- Highways drainage and culverts
The Weholite range is available in internal diameters from 400mm to
3000mm inclusive.
It is certificated by WRc, BBA, WIS 4-35-01 and 'approved for use
with drinking water'. Standard pipe sections are 6m, but lengths
from 3m to in excess of 14m can be manufactured to order at no extra
cost. Spigot and socket jointing is available for pipes up to 1200mm internal diameter.
Litespeed
LiteSpeed is a revolutionary prefabricated system which utilises HDPE
structured wall pipe (Weholite) in the formation of bespoke Combined
Sewer Overflow (CSO) chambers, to give a solution that is expected to
reduce the on-site construction costs of CSO chambers. The straight-
forward bespoke design of the LiteSpeed chamber means it can be
manufactured to any size. Combined with the relatively lightweight
properties of the Weholite pipe, the overall weight is reduced
dramatically. LiteSpeed has substantial benefits using the developed
plastic structure in comparison to traditional concrete or other
modular products.
LiteSpeed was initially used for storage provision and developed to
include screen chambers for remote sites with poor access or soft
ground. Manufacturing challenges of large slots in the pipe for
access have been overcome and all components of a CSO, including flow
control devices, are fitted inside the pipe. |
