Aluminium and Steel Bridge Parapets

Varley & Gulliver offer two systems meeting the requirements of the European Standards EN 1317-1:1998 and EN 1317-2:1998:

VGAN 1000 Vehicle Restraint System (Aluminium Bridge Parapet) This system achieved a N2-W2 designation.

VGSN 1000 Vehicle Restraint System (Steel Bridge Parapet) This system achieved a N2-W1 designation.

Both products were tested on a 450mm plinth, thus demonstrating the product not only conform to the new standard but will perform in real life situations on the road network. With post heights ranging from 1m, which is standard, up to 1.8m where there is equestrian traffic, Varley & Gulliver can satisfy all of your requirements.

Gantries

Varley & Gulliver has been supplying and installing aluminium overhead sign support gantries for over 10 years. A combination of pre-cast concrete and aluminium has proved attractive to the growing 'design,build, finance and operate' sector. Once erected, the gantry provides access to signs and signals for inspection but the gantry remains maintenance free.
